Last post for a while
So I leave for the States in a few days, pretty exciting, hopefully I’ll be doing some pasting while I’m over there!
Here’s a thing I did for a Geelong band ‘The Infants’
Here’s a tattoo design I made for my brother
I bought a tattoo machine a little while ago, I haven’t been ballsy enough to tattoo any real people yet, just inanimate objects. Still got lots of research and practice to go but this is some mucking around I’ve done
Bit of a catch up:

The Debutant Kid
This is a flyer I designed for a friends band. Ill most likely turn the image into a pasteup
I think that after the copious amounts of extra time I spent on this ‘new and improved’ version…I might prefer the simpler one.

False Hope
Been through a hugely lazy patch lately.
This seems to have been saved by a new source of motivation, I’ve been doing paste-ups of large (A0) photocopies of my drawings with some friends. ITS REALLY FUN! This is an idea I’ve been working on late this evening but have to stop because I need to go to bed in order to wake up in time for work in the morning. I’M EXCITED TO FINISH...

Well, things can only get better.
Ha! Tonight I was feeling a bit wreckless and after getting home pretty late decided a bit of graffiti experimentation was just the pickmeup I deserved.
So I was not toooo enthusiastic about putting this up cause its not too impressive, but its my first attempt at ‘street art’ and supposed that it was worth a post for that reason. I feel bad about ruining buildings with novice...
Pretty Simple
After the ol’ exhibition at Somewhere finished I started fretting about all these left over drawings ide have and what I was going to do with them, I considered just hanging them up on buildings and in odd places and leave them for people to take/destroy, but I wound up getting a better offer!
All the dregs of the first show are having a cheeky second show at the Blackcat in fitzroy! (which...
And so the Cycle Continues
I cant believe that it has almost been a whole bloomin year! I started designing some necklace shapes and very very slowly gathered materials and methods to make some necklaces…this was ages ago, as in, November 2009. Anyway these are the fruits of my labour, and I’ve now run outta stock and need to repeat the whole thing awl over again, except maybe I’ll be extra good and come...
Muuuyyy Best Friend
Is a total babe, and a cool dude, and a fun guy, and no longer lives around the corner, and a maker of tattoos, and lives above a 24 HOUR PIZZA AND GELATI SHOP NOW!
She’s a mysterious young thing who prefers to remain anonymous..which I find unbelievably irresistible, and anyone who wishes to abuse her talents should definitely contact me so I can hook y’all up)
She just finished a...
I've Been Waiting a Long Time For This Day
Not sure if I ever mentioned on here the most beloved treasure of my life..so now’s the time. I own a ring, and this ring was created by Polly VanDerGlas. And said ring holds two of my teeth in it, they were adult teeth that got removed for orthodontics, and I had this amazing ring made for my 18th birthday. WOW COOL STORY NINA
But the story continues!! I recently went back home to visit...
Big Empty
So I have two friends, and one is named Max and one is named Shane, and they are in a band together, and their band is named ‘The Big Empty’, and they came over the other day to discuss album artwork and they wound up just picking an existing piece, and I turned it into a cover design. And heeeerrreeeee it is
And dis is what their music sounds like: myspace.com/bigemptymusic
Guess What!
My exhibition is awl over and here are some more photos of the things I put in it.

Come to this oookkkaaaayyyyy
So, as it turns out, the exhibition isn’t as far away as I thought. It goes up next Wednesday! The whole theme sort of revolves around people and how we’re pretty simple and similar..in our own weird and unique ways. The title is ‘We’re Only Mammal’. I’m pretty excited. Hopefully I’ll be able to display some of the works in the actual shop…I...

New Things
So I have a few new ideas, this next lot stem from tv, hopefully I’ll continue with this idea/finish it.
Have started using the computer to draw pictures, finally catching up with technology, thanks to my pal Evert (www.everythingisonething.com)

So many birthdays
There have actually been hardly any birthdays, the fact that the only work Ive been posting are birthday drawings proves how little I’ve been doing
Happy Birthday Adrian, I began drawing you a bizarre hybrid animal because I couldnt decide on an animal for you, it looked shit so I settled for my original idea.
Progress
Ok. I’m ashamed at how long this has taken me, I have finally completed the ‘emotional’ collection of my necklaces/brooches, packaging and all. I wont be selling any untill I’ve finished ALL of my designs, but seriously guys, it’s just so tedious its been hard to keep at it.
Keen for collaborationz
Yesterday Ben Neoh and Chloe Thornton and myself, met up for a long awaited ‘art day’, unfortunately the weather was stinkin’ hot and my heart wasnt entirely in it. We made a couple of mixed pieces for a gallery opening in Ballarat. Ben and Chloe may have stuck it out alot longer but I bailed early and these were the pics I grabbed.

Joke's on me
I made this for this thing but got some things mixed up…I’m not going to elaborate because its just going to reinforce my idiocy.
Also, today’s the first day of 2010. I have high hopes.
Drought
I’m currently undergoing a temporary creative block. It’s totally getting me down and the bottom picture sort of demonstrates my woe.
The First is just of some creeps in bed which will most likely become a larger scale drawing/painting.
Black and white = depression.
Promises of progress
I have decided that this is the beginning of another book. Time to get off my butt and DO something.
Happy Xmas.
What?
This is definitely not how I imagined this picture to turn out, its a picture for middle aged adults I suppose, my Mum’s response was, ‘Well I reeeaaallly love it!’.
Yeah you would would’nt you. I think I might tweak it some.
Attempting festivity
So its fucking Christmas time and although there are existing quirks, it’s really mainly just annoying. Number one on my list of hates is companies exploiting ‘the holidays’ and incorperating Christmas into every. single. fucking. ad.
Anyway, these are some gifts for people, mainly teachers. Only problem is, I dont think I’ll be seeing most of them ever again.

It's Happening in Vegas
Some more pictures that relate to novels, this collection spurs from Hunter Thompson’s ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’. These are some characters and scenarios described in the novel. This collection might be getting sold at a bizzare alternative gallery with some of my other works.
Literally
This is a series of drawings of characters from two novels; ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest’ by Ken Kesey, and ‘On the Road’ by Jack Kerouac. I like to think that I drew these straight from my mind, as in, I drew these characters based on how I imagined them to appear when reading the book. The idea is a bit more conceptual than this but after explaining it thousands of...

Am I in love?
I have recently rekindled my lust for buying things. For the past ridiculous number of months I’ve been refraining from buying shit. And by shit I mean clothes and luxuries. This habit ended happily on the weekend when I bought a new dress by ‘Romance was born’. Basically, it rules and I want to wear it all the time but must resist, similar to the common scenario of...
Is this what irony means?
I feel like lately my mind has been constantly running with creativity and enthusiasm regarding new ideas, current projects and just general productivity. Why is it that I have barely anything to show for it? Exams are finally over and although lots of my time is now spent at my drawing desk, there is no physical progress! My main conclusion really boils down to ‘fuck you facebook’.

Killing me slowly
I made a pact with myself that I would neglect my wooden projects untill exams are over. Admittedly I’ve been doing some neccessary organising on the side but that isn’t satisfying my neeeeds. They’re sitting on my desk, staring at me while my revision still lies untouched on the floor. Bit of a Catch 22 scenario, but not really.
Here’s a vague taste of what they look...
Just keeping my word. Word.
Mac, I said I was ‘on it buddy’ and I didn’t lie.
This was drawn as a sort of birthday present for my good pal Macdaddy (among other things i.e ticket to Why?’s sideshow and 1x I.O.U a Bootycall). She Turned 18 on Wednesday, FINALLY!
It’s titled ‘Fly Boy/Girl’, a name which holds nostalgic value and I don’t expect anybody but Basil members to...

Too Keen
Alright so maybe I’m a little over ambitious. A couple pf weeks ago, with the help of Geelong Rubber Stamps and some brown cardboard I made business cards! What is my business many may (and have) asked, I don’t really have one. But I felt inclined to make them all the same, so far I’ve only gotten rid of three..what a dork.
yes! YES!
They’re ready!
A couple of weeks ago I designed some faces and things to be made into brooches and necklaces. I took them to a place to be cut out of wood using lasers(!) and after calling up every day for the past week and possibly ruining any potential relationship with the company, they are finally here!
I’ll put up some pics of the finished product when theyre done.
Productive Procrastination.
These are just some recent and not so recent pictures. It isn’t quite summer yet but it definately feels like it, I took (almost) all of these photos in the courtyard this afternoon in the sunshine. Any excuse to get outside and avoid studying for upcoming exams.
The last few on brown paper were all doodles from long train/ car rides where sitting still was made slightly more bearable, also...
Waste hater
Sometimes it can be the most frustrating thing in the world when you feel a compulsion to draw something and have no nice paper at your disposal. This results in drawing onto cartridge or loose leaf paper which both have their quirks but aren’t taken seriously when it comes to selling or impressing. Gay.
Admittedly this maniac was drawn on nice paper. I just included it cause I felt...
Mint Jelly
This guy was drawn up in regards to my shock and disgust after realising the vast amounts of lollies and food that contain gelatine. Okay, so vast is maybe an exaggeration but still, the idea of eating hooves with your candy is oh so unappealing. It didn’t help that this realisation was also sort of damaging to my reputation as being mildly intelligent, when I declined a marshmellow,...
Fat Az
So I went shopping on Brunswick St and upon entering the store Fat I came across these handcrafted, fine, white china Gazelle horns “OMG! I MUST have these” (unfortunatly I have no idea who made them). Was on the train on my way home and sort of realised I had no where to put/display them, let alone HOW to display them. Also realised, they are the exact same horn, just sold in pairs. I...
Not Vegan
These are some works made from beeswax/ oil paints/ fabric/ pen plus other things I’m sure.
I went through a bit of a phase earlier in the year with wax experimentation which I slowly grew out of, though I can imagine it kicking back in at some stage in the near future. Almost all of these are depictions of characters from some of my favourite novels which was a theme I continually worked...
Just Kickin'
So a little while ago, July to be precise, I began drawing small pictures on brown (and a little bit of white) paper and after some positive feedback from some strangers I decided to collect 26 drawings and make them into a books. Admittedly I abused some photocopying facilities in the process but they turned out pretty swoit.
I made only 56 copies, two of which were destroyed by my dog, and the...
Please bear with me. LOL
I’ll openly admit that I am computer illiterate. I’m keen to get this blog started though so the page will have to be pretty’d up later.
